Quality Engineer

Due to continued growth, our Quality department currently has a vacancy for an experienced Quality Engineer (minimum 2 years). They will work within a small supportive Quality Department and be involved in all aspects of quality from contract review through in-process checks as well as final inspection.

They will assist the Quality Manager to develop and manage the quality control and quality assurance procedures, ensuring contract requirements are met and to help to drive continuous improvements within the workplace. They will review and approve media and coating products, ensuring that these comply with certification and specification.

The successful candidate will have some experience working in Quality Department. Experience of working within coatings or other surface finishing industries would be particularly beneficial. He/she will also possess the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and will have an understanding of quality standards; ISO9001 / AS9100 as well as knowing what is involved in an audit process.

Preparation Technician

This post involves assisting the smooth transit of engineering work throughout our organisation – from detail masking of components to drawing instructions, to cleaning and preparing parts for return to customer.

The post holder will be able to work quickly and accurately, show practical problem-solving ability, have a good eye for detail and good manual dexterity. The work is varied and may range from inserting threaded fasteners into metal components to using a scalpel to cut and apply complex shapes.

Experience of reading engineering/technical drawings would be an advantage but is not essential as full training would be given to the right candidate.
