We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join our busy team. They will manage and lead a small supportive quality team to integrate quality department activities into the core operations of the company. They will develop and manage the quality control and quality assurance procedures, ensuring contract requirements are met and as part of the company’s management team they will help to drive continuous improvements throughout the workplace.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing people within a quality department. They should have thorough understanding of quality standards; ISO9001 / AS9100 / NADCAP and experience of the audit process.
Experience of any of Sandwell’s activities – in the field of coatings, shot peening or other surface treatments would be beneficial; as would experience of our key market sectors such as aerospace or motorsport. However this is not essential and full training and support would be provided as necessary during an induction period.

Do you have the skills to lead a small and busy Inspection department and to work with others to implement the company’s Quality Management System?
The successful candidate will have a confident and positive approach and be able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues as well as contribute to external and internal audits.
Day to day activities will be many and various – ranging from being responsible for contract review of incoming work, liaising with customers over matters of quality, dealing with internal and external non-conformance reports and collecting data for QA purposes.
